| Event Details | Show Website: https://historicelitchtheatre.org/ The 1st Annual ET Fest – A Cultural Revival, presented by Historic Elitch Theatre and BlissFest333, on Saturday, August 26, 2017 will be held on the theatre plaza at the original 1891 Historic Elitch Theatre in Denver, Colorado. This festival will be the first cultural revival event on the 127 year old grounds. We anticipate large numbers as the community celebrates one of Denver’s first cultural hubs. A select group of artists will have the opportunity to display one piece at Tenn Street Coffee at 4418 Tennyson Street, for First Friday Artwalk on August 4th. Professional artistic judges will award 4 cash prizes for best in show, which will include the Mary Elitch prize for the artist that best embraces her spirit and inspires the cultural arts. The ET Fest and Historic Elitch Theatre is located adjacent to the popular Tennyson Business corridor in Berkeley at 38th and Tennyson, along with the North Highlands neighborhood. This will be a great opportunity to become part of Colorado history and the revival of this iconic venue. There will a kid’s zone under the original carousel shell, with art activities, inter-active theatre, Pinwheels for Peace, and a magic show. On the artisan lawn we will have live musicians and a beer garden. The evening will end with a fundraising auction and concert with a capella group FACE, Chris Daniels and the Kings and the Hazel Miller Band. All the proceeds from the ET Fest will go towards the preservation, restoration and education of Historic Elitch Theatre. Be part of a cultural revival and bring unity in community for the arts. |
